Frequently asked questions
Everything people ask us about executive development, strategy summits, workshops and talks.
What is Saltoz?
Saltoz is an organizational development firm that develops senior leadership teams, managers and teams — in Israel and worldwide — through the relationships, conversations and behaviors that drive business results. Saltoz was founded by Iffat Bar-Kol Grecht. The name comes from salto — a leap: the goal is a step change in the way a leadership team works together.
What is the difference between executive development and management development?
Executive management development works with the leadership team as a group — on trust, dialogue and decision making around the table. Management development focuses on mid-level managers and the tools they use with their teams. Both rest on the same language, so the change reaches the whole organization.
Is the process tailored to our organization?
Yes. Every process starts with conversations with the CEO and the leadership team, and is built from there, according to the challenges and the stage the organization is in.
How is a strategy day or a work-plan day built?
In three parts: Recognition — strengths, successes and assets; Reflection — where we are today and what the gaps are; Ambition — how we take it forward, with decisions and a plan of action.
What is REAL Conversations?
REAL Conversations is the method Iffat Bar-Kol Grecht developed for the conversations people tend to avoid: feedback, hard conversations and interfaces. It rests on three conversation modes: MUTE — you keep the peace and give up the truth; SHOOT — you tell the truth and give up the relationship; REAL — the third mode, a conversation that is authentic and safe at once, and deals with what is really behind things.
What is The Focus Challenge?
The Focus Challenge is an experiential team challenge born at Saltoz and delivered at conferences, leadership days and kick-offs — more than 200,000 participants in 10 languages, in groups of 8 to 500 people per event. The challenge works on three dimensions, ABC: Accountability and proactivity, Big Picture Thinking, and Collaboration across interfaces.
What is the colors method?
Talk to Them in Colors is the Saltoz workshop for managing interfaces and communication inside an organization, built on the colors method. The method is based on the psychological types of Carl Gustav Jung and describes four styles — driver (red), social (yellow), caring (green) and analytical (blue) — so you can adapt the message, and the way you work, to whoever is across from you.
Who is Iffat Bar-Kol Grecht?
Iffat Bar-Kol Grecht is the creator of the Focus Challenge and Focus Masters, founder of Saltoz. She is an international speaker and an expert in developing senior global leadership teams, and the creator of the REAL Conversations method. The Focus Challenge has been translated into 10 languages and played by more than 200,000 people.
